Kiron Open Higher Education
Kiron Open Higher Education is a nonprofit EdTech organization located in Berlin, Germany, that uses digital innovation to provide refugees and underserved communities in the Middle East with access to high-quality education.
In 2014, Kiron Open Higher Education was established, and since 2015, Kiron has been offering free online learning opportunities to refugees and underserved communities.
The goal of Kiron is to provide people and especially refugees, worldwide, with the opportunity to get higher education and eventually graduate with an internationally accredited university degree.
Kiron offers custom-made online study programs using massive open online courses (MOOCs) from renowned educational providers and Open Educational Resources (OER’s). Also, Kiron Open Higher provide short programs to prepare learners for the jobs market.
